Terms & Conditions of Engagement
1. Scope of Services
Bon Conseil will act as your registered tax agent and/or accountant to provide the services you engage us for (e.g. tax returns, bookkeeping, business advisory, SMSF). We will provide these services with due care, skill, and in accordance with Australian laws.
2. Your Responsibilities
- You must provide us with complete, accurate, and timely information.
- Any advice we give is based on the information you provide. We are not responsible for errors or omissions if the information you supply is incomplete or incorrect.
- You are responsible for keeping your financial records in order and retaining all source documents.
3. Fees & Payment
- Our fees are based on the work required and will be agreed with you in advance.
- Payment is due within 5 business days of invoice, unless otherwise specified.
- Additional fees may apply for urgent work or out-of-scope requests.
4. Confidentiality & Privacy
- All information you provide will remain confidential, except where disclosure is required by law.
- We may use secure cloud-based service providers and software (such as Xero, MYOB, ATO Portal). Your data may be stored in Australia or overseas, but always under strict security and privacy standards.
5. Communication with the ATO
By engaging us, you authorise Bon Conseil to act as your tax agent and communicate with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on your behalf.
6. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited by a scheme approved under Professional Standards Legislation. This means we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage unless required by law.
7. Termination
Either party may end this engagement in writing at any time. Fees for work performed up to the termination date remain payable.
Acknowledgement
By signing/agreeing, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions of Engagement and authorise Bon Conseil to act as your tax agent/accountant.
